When it comes to music I am a fanatic, I am one of those people that can name almost any song on the radio, so that's why I have a lot of bands that I love. One of my favorite band is Green Day. The leader of Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong. His voice takes me to an entirely different realm. The other members of the band are Mike Drint as a bassist and Tre Cool as a drummer. The band got its name from sitting around and smoking pot all day!
I still remember the first song by Green Day I heard was Working Class Hero. It didn't make too much of an impact on me. But when I heard Boulevard of Broken Dreams and thus began my obsession with the band. Their music as well as their lyrics is exceptionally good. I think my favorite album by Green Day is 'Warning.' Every song is unique and awesome. I would recommend to you all Waiting, Macy's Day Parade, Misery, Minority, Warning and Castaway from this album.
Most of the songs by Green Day have theme like alienation, drug effect etc. and I think there are certain song by them like Brainstew that us student can relate to. Whenever I feel stress, I will listen to their song and I feel like 'I believe I can fly' hahaha. For the last, Green Day has successfully revived punk rock and bought it to the mainstream. For anyone wanting some really good music, I would recommend Green Day. Enjoy your life!
